PRO MILONE 2024
In 2024, the Association Sui Generis invites you to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Pro Milone moot court competition !
Every year for the past ten years, the authors have proposed a fictitious case to make way for a real trial simulation involving an international court of justice...
Ten years already, our young pleaders are having the time of their lives challenging their opponents' arguments and pleas in front of an ever more expert and incisive jury on legal matters...
Are you ready to celebrate this 10th anniversary with a groundbreaking case in public international law?
This year's Pro Milone will take place on May 31st for the qualifying rounds at the Salle Lacroix, in Narbonne's Palais des Sports, des Arts et du Travail, and on June 7th 2024 for the finals in the Grande Salle d'Audience of the Narbonne Law Courts.
Teams of young litigators will compete in a real moot court case before the International Court of Justice.
This year's chosen discipline is public international law.
The fictitious case is inspired by real (or at least realistic) facts, as well as historical, contemporary and cinematographic references. This case deals with notions of environmental law, international agreements, detour of resources, rescue at sea, humanitarian law, occupation of territory, international relations and States.
The Moot Courts will be judged by an expert panel of consultants, lawyers and academics.
The following prizes will be awarded at the end of the moot court competition:
-
Best Memoir in Public International Law
-
Best moot court in International Public Law
-
Pierre Gabriel Stefanaggi Award for Best Pleader.
-
Special Jury Award.
