Pro Milone Moot Court Competition 2024: Celebrating a Decade of Legal Passion!

We are thrilled to announce the 10th edition of the Pro Milone Moot Court Competition, organized by the Sui Generis Association. For a decade, this flagship event has brought together passionate young pleaders for intense and stimulating moot court battles. This year, we celebrate not only a decade of fiery advocacy but also the opportunity to continue promoting excellence in the field of law and public speaking.

What is Pro Milone?

Pro Milone is much more than just a moot court competition. It's a unique opportunity for young pleaders to put their legal skills into practice in a challenging environment. Each year, our team crafts a complex fictional case, inspired by real-life events and historical, contemporary, and/or cinematic references. This year's case tackles a myriad of relevant legal issues in the field of public international law, ranging from environmental law to international agreements to humanitarian law.

Qualifying Rounds and Grand Finale:

The qualifying rounds of Pro Milone will take place on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Lacroix Hall, Palais des Sports, des Arts, et du Travail in Narbonne. Teams of young pleaders will compete in a simulated trial before the International Court of Justice. The grand finale will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in the Grand Courtroom of the Judicial Tribunal in Narbonne.

Prizes and Recognitions:

Following the Moot Court Competition, several awards will be presented, including the Best Public International Law Memoir Award, the Best Public International Law Pleading Award, the Pierre Gabriel Stefanaggi Best Pleader Award, and the Special Jury Prize. Additionally, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the competition, we reserve the right to host a surprise showdown to make this event even more memorable!
